The Right Spin

The PS3
It's been announced for a release in 2006 and boy is it purdy. Looks like Sony showed off it's impressive hardware with the Unreal Engine 3.0 a E3. Man, I hope this machine kicks the crap out of the Xbox 360.

Microsoft gets no link because they are the devil. Don't believe me? Bill Gates' full name in ASCII equates to 666. Really. Google it.

Okay... it doesn't... but it gets real close. Too close some may argue.

I'm scared... hold me.

My big gripe with both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 is that they are both going to completly wireless controlers. I think that is kind of a pain. I have never felt limited by have a cord conect my hand to the game station and those things are going to eat batteries. Plus the controler for the PS3 looks uncomfortable as hell.

I wonder, if you throw the PS3 controller will it come back to you? I guess we don't have to worry about buying new controllers when we whip them at our TV in frusteration.

As for being wireless, I don't have a problem with that. Just look at Nintendo's Wavebird. Also, when I had my SEGA Genesis and SEGA CD I had to use wireless controllers (I had a rear projection 64 inch big screen TV). They took a bit to get used to but after that using them was second nature. I'm looking forward to the new wireless controllers.

You're COMPLAINING about wireless controllers? Why are they a pain?

I can understand not liking the layout, but actually being annoyed by wireless???

People are afraid of change. Besides, once you've been doing the wired thing since the 80's you don't really see a need to change. Additionally, there have been a lot of crappy wireless controllers made. And now with two next-gen consoles going the wireless route (not sure what Nintendo's doing) out of the box... there is a bit to be nervious about. I mean, what if it completely sucks? Then what?

But, for me, I'm happy either way.
