"Brokeback" Propaganda
I have no intention of seeing "Brokeback Mountain." I like my cowboy films, well, not gay. I like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood and I know at least one of there two will never do a film like "Brokeback Mountain." I'll let you guess which.

Now, if someone wants to do a film about gay anything that's their right. But I'd like them to be honest about it. The supermajorty of those who have a problem with homosexuality, myself included, are not the kind who delights in torturing and murdering them. Indeed I'd say we all find that very idea repugnant. However, by golly, wouldn't you know this film's got a "homo hatin" torturin' murderer! Oh, why can't society leave these two lovebirds alone!?

Also never addressed it the fact that these two characters had loving wives at home. Two families are destroyed and no one bats an eyes.

I have to agree with David Kupelian when he states:

"Ultimately, propaganda works because it washes over us, overwhelming our senses, confusing us, upsetting or emotionalizing us, and thereby making us doubt what we once knew."

Why is this movie propaganda?

Kupelian says the emotional appeal used in the movie causes viewers to sympathize with the "gay" cowboys, and to emotionally reject the "anti-gay" character who tortures and murders a homosexual man.

There is a clear attempt going on to mainstream homosexuality and demonize anyone who opposes that adgenda as a member of the same camp that would murder these very people. Unfortunately fairminded gays are not pointing this out as the lie that it is.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

For the love of God and everything decent why the hell did they have to make a gay cowboy movie. Ever since I heard about this movie I wanted nothing to do with it. Then after hearing that I wanted to nothing to do with it someone asked me if I was a gay basher and a homophobe since I refused to see this movie. I politely replied with:

A)If I wanted softcore gay porn I could get it off the internet for free.

B)The premise of the movie is weak and still would be weak even if it was a hetero couple or a lesbian couple.

C)If this movie was didn't have gay cowboys in it no one would probably see it or care.

I hate when movie makers use a gimic to generate acclaim for a movie. Essentially what the director is saying is that I can't make an interesting movie on just my writing talents but if I put (insert edgy political issue here) into the movie it will get acclaim and win awards. So to put the record straight I don't hate gays, gay cowboys, or movies about gay cowboys, I hate movies that suck!

It's interesting, Kevin, that both you and your correspondent JohnPatrick have such strong opinions about a movie you haven't seen. Most reasonable people would see a movie, read a book, taste a food, etc. before forming such strong opinions about things. The words the words prejudge and prejudice are related you know.

Glad to see you back!

As for what you state: I don't have to see it do condemn its content. Sources I trust have seen it and I defer to their judgment. I've not seen Yeshua yet I know He is God, I've not seen George Washington and I know he was our first President and I've not seen this film and I know what it is.

Everyone forms opinions on topics based upon the opinions and testamonies of others. Hopefully on sources credible. Now, if you wish to attack my sources then go right ahead. If you can convince me they're wrong then I may just change my mind.
